COVID-19 Update
It is true the we live in an unprecedented and unparalleled time in living memory. There is great uncertainty and fear in the world as people come to grips with a global pandemic. The good news is that despite what we think and feel sometimes, Jesus is still the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. And because of this, as Christians, we don't face this life with fear or hope for we know that our life is in the hands of Jesus. Indeed the Bible tells us that God has "not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind" (2 Timothy 1:7)
The other interesting thing, is that this global event is making the church more like the church in the Book of Acts. In the Bible, the church didn't have building, or places of worship, other than the temple - but they met in peoples houses, and in the streets. WE have an incredible opportunity by being forced to close our doors to reach more people than every before. So I see this as a tremendous opportunity for the church to have a greater impact than they have every had before - God has promised us a great end time revival; this could be the start of it.
What are we doing:
The Bible tells us to "obey them that have the rule over you"(Hebrews 13:17). We will continue to monitor what the Government is advising, and we will adjust how we "do church" in line with the guidelines that are published. Here is what we are doing currently:
Sunday Service: Currently, Sunday Service is happening in person on Sunday morning. We start with prayer at 9:30 am, with LifeClass at 10:00 am, and Main Service at 11:15. If you are a regular member of HopeDivine, when you come in, you will have your attendance registered. If you are visiting with us, we will need to collect some details for you to be entered into our system. In addition to this, we are limiting physical interactions, and we ask that you use the provided hand sanitiser on entry. We are also encouraging people to give using the digital giving kiosk, rather than cash.
If you are sick, we ask that you remain at home; we are still live-streaming our services via YouTube; click here to be taken to our YouTube channel
Tuesday Night ConnectGroup Online: Available for those who call HopeDivine their home church, this takes place at 7:00pm each Tuesday night in person.

What should you do?
- Focus on building your relationship with God at this time. Spend time reading God's word, and spend time in prayer.
- Make sure you have connected with our church on Facebook. Facebook is where we put our day to day updates in place. We also have WhatsApp groups in place to facilitate communication at this time
- Get involved with what we are doing - tune into the Livestream, and get involved with our Online ConnectGroup
- Continue to give to the church. The church still needs your support, as we will be making significant investment into new equipment to do live steaming. You can find more info by visiting our giving page
- Switch off the TV. If you need information on COVID-19, get it from the government, not from the media. The media rarely reports anything accurately, and it is a constant barrage of negativity. Get information directly from government sources like the Covid-19 App from the government, or www.australia.gov.au
- Maintain your health and fitness. Do some exercises at home to help with this.
- Abide by the government and state regulations.
If the church can assist at this time, please reach out for help.
